Dr. Peng Fang -- CEO, JA Solar Holdings, Co., Ltd.
Dr. Fang was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2010. Dr. Fang joined JA Solar (NasdaqGS: JASO) with more than 20 years of executive management experience with leading global technology companies in the solar and semiconductor industries in both the U.S. and China.
Dr. Fang was president of Best Solar Co., Ltd., where he turned a start-up company into an internationally known solar module company in just 18 months. Dr. Fang was formerly president of Huahong NEC, one of the largest semiconductor foundries in China. He has also held various technology and management positions at Applied Materials and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in the U.S.
Dr. Fang received his PhD and MSEE degrees from the University of Minnesota. He was also a postdoctoral research fellow at the EECS Department of UC Berkeley. Dr. Fang was chairman of the IEEE Electron Devices Society, Santa Clara Valley Chapter, and he is a Director of UCGEC.
Larry Asera -- Chairman and Founder of the Green Tech Power Group.
Larry Asera is a noted engineer, scientist, educator, and entrepreneur. A recognized pioneer in the solar photovoltaic industry, he was named the Green Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 for his contributions to the renewable energy industry. He has been a keynote speaker at numerous global energy forums as an expert on Global Climate Change, Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction, and Environmental Technologies.
A scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, Asera graduated in Civil and Environmental Engineering and was an Urban Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. He has also been a Professor of Engineering Technology at the California Maritime Academy, a campus of the California State University and a visiting lecturer at the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines.
A former Balik Scientist under the Department of Science and Technology, Asera was awarded the Presidential Award “Pamana ng Pilipino” by President GMA in 2007 for his lifetime achievements in academia, community, civic, and business.
Don Danh – Senior VP, East West Bank
Don Danh is currently SVP and Head of Emerging Markets at East West Bank, responsible for helping with the development and execution of new market opportunities including the Greentech Lending Initiatives, as well as the emerging Vietnam related opportunities. Mr. Danh started his Corporate/Commercial Banking at Comerica Bank. Prior to East West Bank, Mr. Danh was VP and Sr. Relationship Manager at City National Bank where he was part of a team that was responsible for the successful turn around of a business unit which was previously acquired; Mr. Danh was also instrumental in the successful launch of City National Bank’s Technology Lending Division. Prior to City National Bank, Mr. Danh was VP and Team Manager at Silicon Valley Bank's Emerging Technologies Division where he successfully helped started several new business initiatives. He was a co-founder of the Vietnamese Strategic Venture Networks (VSVN) and was a Board Member there in its early days. Additionally, Don was also a Board Member at the Asia America Multitechnology Association (formerly Asian American Manufacturing Association). AAMA is one of the oldest and best known networking groups in Silicon Valley.
Chris Robine -- President and CEO, SPG Solar, Inc.
Chris Robine is President and Chief Executive Officer. He brings executive leadership experience in building and scaling teams to drive growth and establish operational excellence. Chris spent over 14 years at General Electric (GE) where he most recently was the CFO for GE Renewable Energy. In partnership with the Commercial and Operations teams, GE Renewable Energy division became recognized as a global industry leader in renewable energy and more than doubled its multi-billion dollar revenue. Chris has also served on the board of PrimeStar Solar, an emerging solar thin-film technology and manufacturing company.
Since early 2010, Chris has made significant contributions to SPG Solar as SVP and CFO, where he has quickly established operational excellence and launched the Structured Finance group, providing a variety of additional solutions for customers.
Chris holds a degree in Finance and Management from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Business.
Uday Mathur -- Principal, Renewable Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E)
Uday Mathur joined Pacific Gas and Electric Company in 2006 and is a Principal in the Renewable Energy - Emerging Clean Technology group. His responsibilities include working with industry participants to advance new utility-scale renewable energy technologies, implementing competitive solicitations, and negotiating power purchase agreements with independent power producers to help expand PG&E’s clean energy portfolio. Prior to PG&E, Mr. Mathur led successful new business initiatives in the broadband, medical device, and satellite communications industries. Mr. Mathur holds degrees in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley and the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Northwestern University.
